Flo یکی از انواع تب‌سنج‌های عمومی است که دما را بدون تماس با بدن اندازه‌گیری کرده و به یک گوشی آیفون ارسال می‌کند و به مراقبت کنندگان از بیمار اجازه می‌دهد داده‌ها را با پزشکان به اشتراک بگذارند. Flo هیچگاه بدن را لمس نمی‌کند، در نتیجه به پاکسازی مداوم نیاز ندارد و با این حال دما را با دقت بسیار بالا اندازه‌گیری می‌کند. استفاده از تب‌سنج Flo کی طی دو سال توسعه‌ داده شده است آسان است. کافی است Flo در فاصلۀ یک سانتیمتری از پیشانی بیمار قرار گیرد، آنگاه با فشردن یک دکمه، دما به صورت آنی ثبت می‌شود.

این تب‌سنج به ویژه برای کودکان بسیار سودمند است. چرا که بدن کودک را لمس نکرده و هیچ صدایی تولید نمی‌کند در نتیجه دمای بدن کودک بدون هیچ مزاحمتی برای او ثبت می‌شود. این تب‌سنج به یک چراغ LED مجهز شده است که محدودۀ دما را نشان می‌دهد. نور سبز نشان دهندۀ دمای طبیعی و نور قرمز نشان‌دهندۀ تب بالاست. برای مشاهدۀ دما، Flo نیازمند اتصال به گوشی هوشمند از طریق بلوتوث است.
تب‌سنج Flo از یک ویژگی گفتاری نیز بهره می‌برد که هنگام فعال بودن دمای ثبت شده را اعلام می‌کند. این ویژگی هنگامی که گوشی هوشمند در دسترس نباشد برای آگاهی سریع و دقیق از دمای ثبت شده مفید خواهد بود.
برای همگام‌سازی با گوشی هوشمند، Flo یک نرم‌افزار تحت iOS اختصاصی را بکار می‌گیرد. این نرم‌افزار ویژگی‌هایی دارد که به شما اجازه می‌دهد دمای بدن افراد خانواده را به صورت جداگانه ذخیره و ردیابی کنید. نرم‌افزار به کاربران اجازه می‌دهد تا عکس‌ها را زمان، مکان و دمای ثبت شده تگ کرده و آنها را خانواده، دوستان و پزشکان به اشتراک بگذارید.
جالب توجه است که Flo افزون بر دمای بدن، می‌تواند دمای اجسام دیگر شامل مایعات را نیز ثبت کند. همچنین می‌تواند چرخۀ تخمک‌گذاری بانوان را ردیابی کند و داده‎‌های آن برای زوج‌هایی که برای بارداری تلاش می‌کنند مفید خواهد بود.
